Ricos Tamales Oaxaqueños;
Colchones, tambores, refrigeradores, estufas, lavadoras...
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssss;
Esquite, tacos, tortas, mangos, dulces, and balloons.
Crosswalks nothing more than paint on the street;
Red lights more of a suggestion;
Random four foot holes in the sidewalk;
Pirated movies, stolen phones, indigenous beggars;
Energy, life, smells, sounds;
It is hard not to feel the chaotic charm.
Modern and antiquated at the same time.
Two steps forward, one step back;
Sometimes two or three.
Escape into a quiet park;
Families together and happy on a lazy Sunday afternoon;
The gentle jingle of the ice cream cart and churro guy;
Time seems to have no meaning.
Until we meet again Chilangolandia;
El placer ha sido mio.
